Finding a Little Piece of Home in Kigali ๐ท๐ผ๐One of the things I was happy to discover in Kigali was Regina Pacis Catholic Church, a prominent Roman Catholic parish located in Remera, Kigali.
Having an English Mass available was such a welcome find! The church is large and was well attended, creating a wonderful sense of community. The choir was beautiful, adding so much to the atmosphere and making the Mass a truly uplifting experience.
I particularly enjoyed the churchโs modern, amphitheatre-style design, with the seats rising higher towards the back, giving everyone a clear view of the altar. The open spaces, clean architectural lines and beautiful stained-glass windows add to its charm. The church also enjoys a scenic vantage point overlooking Kigali International Airport.

Construction began in 2001, and the church was officially commissioned on May 9, 2009, to serve Kigaliโs growing Catholic community.
Being away from home for an extended period, finding a place where I can attend Mass in English and feel connected through faith is something I truly appreciate. It is a lovely reminder that, even in a new country, faith can offer a familiar sense of belonging.
Grateful for these little discoveries that make Rwanda feel a little more like home. โค๏ธ
